Cloning in the Fashion Industry

Cloning is the art of duplicating something all the way to the tee. It has to look exactly like the original so when people see it, they would not think of it otherwise. It should be believable in a sense that when people see it, they shouldn’t question the quality at all. Our love and fascination for expensive accessories, even thought they will burn our pockets is a matter of trying to fit in to the the society we live in. The need for perfection and to always reach our optimal worth is something that is very much inert in all of us. Science has also succumbed to this quest for perfection, as experiments are being done to try and clone humans as well. These experiments have enabled the human race to get ahead in the future and to see the potential that this can do.

You would be astonished to know that the cost that the price tag of the designer product would read would have about 35% of the cost of manufacturing or may be less. The manufacturing cost percentage is low despite the best possible raw material used in these designer product is worth a mention. The rest 65% is nothing but the price the brand conscious people pay for the goodwill these labels carry. Ironically, this is not a hidden fact, people out there know about that. However, the 65% that they pay for the inflated goodwill is translated as a cost these people pay to get the social recognition that these designer products would attract.

Every time I walk down the street, I always see the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Versace, Thomas Wylde, Monolo Blahnik Shoes, Prada, Miu Miu, Jacobs, Marc, Louis Vuitton, Juicy Couture, Hermes, Gucci, Givenchy, Fendi, Ed Hardy, Christian Dior, Chanel, Cartier, Chloe, Balenciaga, Anya Hindmarch, Louboutin Shoes , Alexander Mcqueen etc. Before they weren’t that popular, now they’re everywhere! It is quite going against economic recession, for the reason that people are facing unemployment and salary cuts and on the other the people wearing designer apparels are increasing every day. The only way that this could happen is through cloning alone.

The fashion world has definitely come up with various ways to produce the exact same designer stuff that is the replica of the original apparels. Not only do they look exactly the same as the real ones, they are also great economic alternatives. Because these are replicas, they have become more affordable and reachable to the masses. This demand for “cloned” footwear, apparels, wardrobes and such has created a new market in the fashion industry. Fashion stores have sprung up that sell all these facsimiled items. These replica fashions are the perfect examples of how the fashion industry has is reaching to earn from different sects of the country, not just the elites.

Fashion Industry is huge and is known for being changing more frequently that the hands of the clock. Despite the change this industry could be understood as the most stable and lucrative one. Designers who are known in the market cash their goodwill in from of the price tags that they attach to the designer range they launch.
